The Bathtub Test

During a visit to a mental asylum, I asked the director "How do you determined whether a patient should be institutionalized."

"Well," the doctor said, "We fill up the bath tub and then offer a teaspoon, a teacup, and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I get it," I said. "A normal person would pick a bucket because it's bigger and will empty the bathtub faster than using the teaspoon or teacup."

"No," the director said. "A normal person would just pull the plug! Let's get your paper work and get started. Would be prefer a bed that is closer to a window?"
