Here we are....September 7th-13th

Here's last weeks re-cap!

So there it is....the first week of September in the books. Unbelievable how quickly time goes by. It was a typical week at the Fritsche house. BUSY!! Gotta love life! :) Although it was very nice to have a shorten school week. Too bad we can't have a 4 day week every week. Tuesday was busy with the usual long list of things to do. Wednesday morning was busy...working on a lot of Boutique things. In the afternoon, Dave and I had a meeting. Scooping out some new ideas.....we will leave it at that right now and then there was soccer practice for Courtney! Thursday was suppose to be my day at home to get a lot of Boutique stuff done. But it was off to make my weekly trip to the airport to pick Grandma up this week. But HELLO! Welcome the rain! OMG! Did it rain. Luckily by the afternoon it let up some but we got a lot of rain. Thanks hurricane whatever your name was! So I didn't get as much done on Thursday as I wanted to but that's ok, time was spent with my grandma! I wonder if I will make a trip out to the airport this week? Will it be week 5? Friday was also full with getting stuff done that wasn't done earlier in the week! Our weekend was on and off but somewhat relaxing. Which was very nice because I think this is our last weekend to have any relaxing time for a long time!!

Here's the news for this week.....

Into the 2nd week of September we go! Welcome to the crazy world of the Fritsche's! This week is full....over flowing actually. I have a lot of stuff I wanted to finish up for the Boutique. At least get a few things done so as more things come up, there's not as much to do. Monday night there's soccer practice. Tuesday is picture day at school. Wednesday the girls have a "dress down day" at school which they are very excited about. They actually get to wear what Kayla said as "normal clothes" to school. Gotta love her! Thursday is very full with a PTP Meeting in the evening and then here comes Friday. Courtney's first soccer game friday night!! Our weekend is busy with a lot going on. And then here.....we will be in the middle of September! I can't believe Christmas is only a little over 3 months away! Time to start Christmas shopping!!! OMG! Are we serious?!?!? I'm not ready to start that. Even though I LOVE Christmas time. Oh well, off to bed now! I need some sleep. :)

Until next week, have a great week!!

It's another week....September 1st!

Here's last weeks re-cap!

Where to begin? My calendar was so full last week I was writing things all over the place. It was a typical busy, trying to get back into a school schedule. On top of that, Tuesday I ran my Grandma out to the airport....off to Dallas she was headed. Wednesday was a full day of everything and anything. Thursday, well that was non-stop and we had our Back to School meeting at 7:00pm. Then came Friday! FINALLY!!! We decided to stay home and do "family stuff" all weekend. It was VERY rare Dave had some time off, 5 days to be exact. It was really nice! Friday night we enjoyed an evening at home with some friends coming over. The girls had a blast and it was really nice to have some normal adult conversations. We had a great time! Saturday morning we were up and out of here....off to garage sales, breakfast, and the St. Louis Mills Mall. The girls and I had never been there. Well 5 and a half hours later we were headed back home. I was surprised at how much fun we had and how long the girls lasted. I guess Courtney's time spent at Cabela's made up for the time spent looking at "girly" things! Sunday was a day of relaxing and swimming. Monday we did a little running around and more swimming. All in all, we had a great 3-day weekend staying home and enjoying some family bonding time! Courtney was mad at us at first for not going to the farm, but she got over it and had fun with us! :)

Here's the news for this week.....

So, I've realized that the whole school schedule thing....well it pretty much SUCKS!!! I hate early mornings and so do the girls. I must say they both have done well getting up and getting ready though. But trying to get back into the swing of things and being on a schedule, I'm with Kayla, why can't school start at 10:00am? Mornings would be so much easier! I miss summer vacation. Oh well, this week is another busy week. Even though it's a short school week. Courtney's soccer practice was moved from Monday to Wednesday this week. Thursday, I get to make my trip back out to the airport for the fourth week in a row to pick my Grandma up! Hopefully it's not raining hard. And then here comes Friday and the weekend. Which are busy. I must say though, I do enjoy having things to do and for some crazy reason having a full calendar. It's beats sitting at home and having nothing to do all the time! I feel loved! :) Ok, total cheeseball I know, but shoot! I'm VERY tired and I think it's time to head to bed!!

Until next week, have a great week!!

Our Crazy Week! ~ August 25th

Here's last weeks re-cap!

Well, let's see. I successfully made it through the first 3 days of the girls being back to school. What a stressful week it was. They both did wonderful going back and we had no problems! At least with the girls, mom on the other hand was an emotional wreck! I even started to cry Thursday when I took my Aunt to the airport. My emotions were all over the place. Anyway, besides all the tears, we had a great week. Friday night we had a dinner and dessert event to attend. It was a lot of fun and nice to get out for the evening after the emotional week!! Our weekend ended up being pretty busy. And then it was the start of the first full week of school! Our true test to see how things will go.

Here's the news for this week.....

OMG!! Welcome back to the reality of life with kids in school!! This week is crazy!!! My calendar is overflowing - really...to the point, I'm writing things at the top so everything is written down. I know I seem to have that problem recently. Remembering. If it's not written down, there's a 95% chance that I will forget! So, I've learned to write everything and I mean everything down! It's even written day everyday at 3:15pm in my planner - "Pick Up the Girls." I can't even begin to explain this week. My main focus will be trying to get us all back on a school schedule and bedtime routine. But Tuesday - drop Grandma off at the airport, having running around to do. Wednesday - a long list of things to do. Thursday - another list and the PTP Back to School meeting. Friday - Are we leaving for the Farm.....yes.....no....maybe so! I have no clue! Thank goddness for a 3 day weekend!!!!!! Now our big question is stay in town and do fun family stuff or go to the Farm. Surprisingly Dave is off Thursday - Monday!! It's shocking and I don't know how we are all going to handle this!! So we are trying to decide stay home and do fun family things all weekend or go the Farm with everyone. I'm leaning towards staying home and doing fun stuff! I guess stay tuned and you will find out what our exciting Labor Day Weekend involved!! I know I am ready to relax and enjoy sometime down time!! September is busy, October is crazy, November is insane and December....well let's just not start there yet!! ;)

Hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!!!

Until next week, have a great week!!

First Week of School - August 18th

I know I'm late this week but Sunday night when I sat down to type, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I knew I would have to talk about back to school and I wasn't ready to face it even though it was 3 days away! So here I am Wednesday evening, but hey! Give me a break I had to send my baby off to kindergarten!! It's been a little stressful for me!

Here's last weeks re-cap!

It was quite a sad week for me. The last week of summer vacation. Most of the time you hear parents, especially moms, saying "I can't wait for the kids to go back to school!" Not this mom!! I enjoy summer vacation! Last week was a fun week though. The girls had some friends over and played....a lot! My Aunt Debbie who lives in Dallas made a surprise visit to STL. She flew in Wednesday with little Miss Grace who just turned a year on August 10th! She's quit the little cutie! She was a foster baby they have had the joy for caring for since she was three weeks old. I say was because they are in the process of adopting her. And let me just say, the girls LOVE her! She just started walking and we all enjoyed having her for a visit. They are flying out tomorrow (Thursday) and the girls are a little sad. But I told them tonight when they were going to bed, "don't worry, these next three and a half months are going to fly by and before you know it, she will be back visiting for Christmas!" So anyway, we enjoyed a lot of time spent playing with Grace. Friday evening, Dave and I had the "pleasure" of joining some friends at Chuck E Cheese for their daughters birthday. It was just the 8 of us but man.....that place gives me a headache! But what a great place to people watch. I admit, I'm guilty of doing it everywhere! But that place was loaded with all types of different people! And I must say, some strange ones at that. But whatever, it's their lifestyle! Our weekend was semi quite, just doing a few things here and there.

Here's the news for this week.....

I have been dreading this week for the last 4 weeks!!!! I am NOT ready for Kayla to be in kindergarten!!!! I know, she's 5 and growing up but come on I have a 2nd grader and a kindergartner now! No more little ones at home with me. Kayla is so ready though. She wasn't excited about going back to school because she has to get up early. If she could sleep in and go to school around 10 or 11, life would be great!!! She likes going to school and in a way was excited but is not an early morning person like her mommy! Courtney was on the fence too! She was ready to be back in a way but at the same time was really enjoying summer vacation. So our week started off with Early Bird Day on Monday - as long as I didn't think about the fact of Kayla going to kindergarten, I was fine. Made it through just fine. Tuesday we had a fun day at home and the girls got "Back to School Hair Cuts." Big excitement!! :) And here we are on Wednesday. The first day! I must say, I am very proud of myself. I only shed a few tears! None from Kayla, which in a way made me sad but I would much rather have it this way. Dave and I took the girls to school. Our first stop was in Courtney's room....2nd grade. That's a little scary too! We took her in her room and got her settled. I asked for a hug and a kiss and once she noticed everyone else was giving mommy a hug and kiss, she finally gave me one. So there she was in 2nd grade and we were off to drop Kayla off at Kindergarten. Going downstairs to her room I remember telling myself "don't lose it! You'll upset Kayla!" Fighting back the tears, I helped her unpack her back pack and in her room we went. Oh boy, here we go! Kayla looks around and sees friends from Pre-K. She gets a big smile on her face when she sees a few friends. We looked around for something for her to do, trying to decide when the bell rings. Time to sit down at her desk. One last big hug and kiss and off she goes to sit down. That's it! I have to walk away cause I feel the tears starting. I peeked in her room one last time and there she sat smiling and laughing with the other kids. WOW! That's it, it's over with. Now I have to journey back upstairs, sit through chapel, and then go home. Alone. Don't get me wrong there were the times last year were I'd think, next year will be nice but that was because around lunchtime she'd get bored being home with mom all day and want someone to play with. So I actually made it without too many tears! I never really thought I'd want a day to go by quickly but I couldn't wait for 3:15 to come today! I'm happy to report both of the girls had a great first day of school!!! Kayla had several stories to share and even though I'm not ready for this and would much rather have summer vacation, I'm looking forward to a fun year with them! The rest of week is getting back in the swing of things. Friday night, Dave and I have dinner plans. And our weekend is busy!!!! The first of a lot of busy upcoming weekends!!

Until next week, have a great week!!

Our Last Week of Summer Vacation - 8/11/08

Here's last weeks re-cap!

This week turned out to be pretty uneventful. It was my dad's second week of vacation and they were off to the Farm. The girls went along while I stayed behind at home. So while it was quite around here, I sure got a lot of work done!! It was a nice little break giving me the chance to relax and work peacefully!! So there's not too much to report from last week other than the girls had a blast at the Farm!

Here's the news for this week.....

Here we are...headed into the last full week of summer vacation! Unbelievable!! I'm very sad about this and am NOT looking forward to the girls going back to school. So this week I'm hoping to squeeze in some last minute fun things to do. Looks like the weather is going to be pretty nice! Other than that, not much on the calendar with specific times on things to do. Kind of a quick posting this week but it's a quite two weeks.....until next week when everything goes back to being crazy again!! :)

Until next week, have a great week!!
